Built for what comes next

Peergrade served the market well. ChallengeMe was built for where peer assessment is going.

EU AI Act ready

The EU AI Act takes effect August 2026. ChallengeMe's AI features are built with compliance in mind — transparent, auditable, and educator-controlled.

European hosting

Your data stays in the EU. No transatlantic transfers, no Privacy Shield concerns. Critical for institutions with strict data residency requirements.

Deeper LMS integration

Full LTI 1.3 with automatic grade passback. Students never leave their LMS. Works with Canvas, Moodle, and Blackboard out of the box.

Active development

ChallengeMe ships weekly updates. Peergrade stopped. You need a platform that's going to grow with your institution, not stagnate.

Migration FAQ

Everything institutions ask when switching from Peergrade to ChallengeMe.

Can I import my Peergrade rubrics directly?

Not directly via API (Peergrade's API is now closed), but our onboarding team helps you recreate your rubric structure in ChallengeMe's criteria system. Most rubrics map 1:1, and many instructors find ChallengeMe's weighted criteria more flexible than Peergrade's approach.

What happens to our historical Peergrade data?

We recommend exporting all historical data from Peergrade before your access expires. ChallengeMe starts fresh — we don't import old submissions, but your rubric structures and workflows can be rebuilt quickly. Past submissions stay wherever you exported them to.

How long does migration take?

Most institutions are fully operational within 3-5 business days. The LMS integration setup takes about 30 minutes per LMS instance. Rubric recreation depends on complexity but typically takes 1-2 hours per course. We recommend starting between semesters for the smoothest transition.

Do students need new accounts?

No. ChallengeMe integrates via LTI 1.3, which means students authenticate through your LMS (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard). They click an assignment link in their LMS and they're in — no separate registration, no new passwords.

Is ChallengeMe GDPR compliant?

Yes. ChallengeMe is a European company (founded in Montpellier, France) with EU-based data hosting. We're fully GDPR compliant and actively preparing for the EU AI Act requirements taking effect in August 2026. We sign DPAs with all institutional clients.

How does pricing compare to Peergrade?

ChallengeMe offers competitive institutional licensing. Most institutions switching from Peergrade find our pricing comparable or lower, especially for larger deployments. We offer volume discounts and multi-year agreements. Contact us for a custom quote.

What about Eduflow workflows?

Peergrade acquired Eduflow and merged the products before shutting down. ChallengeMe's multi-phase challenge system covers the same ground: submission, peer review, self-assessment, and reflection — all in a structured flow that instructors can customize per assignment.

Can we run a pilot before committing?

Absolutely. We encourage a pilot with one or two courses first. Our onboarding team helps set everything up, and you can evaluate ChallengeMe with real students before making an institution-wide decision. No commitment required for the pilot.
